These terms cover gilbertfirst.com, the Gilbert First newsletter, the Gilbert First business directory and the Gilbert First app for ChatGPT and Claude (gilbertfirst.com/mcp). By using any of them you agree to these terms. Gilbert First is the publisher of all of them.
Information only
Gilbert First is written from public records: Town of Gilbert agendas, liquor-license filings, Maricopa County food permits, building permits and event calendars. We read them carefully, but records can lag, change or be withdrawn. "Filed" means an application is on file, not that a place will open, and we do not give opening dates a record does not hold. Event times and details can change. Check with the business, the organizer or the Town before you go or decide anything. Nothing on Gilbert First is legal, financial or professional advice.
Ratings and rankings
Star ratings and review counts are Google's, shown with the date we last read them. We do not write or change them. Our best-of lists rank by Google rating, then by number of reviews, with a minimum number of reviews. A paid featured listing never changes where a business ranks in our guides. Paid placements in the newsletter and on the site are marked "Sponsored".
The newsletter
The newsletter is free and sent through Beehiiv. You can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link in every issue or by writing to info@gilbertfirst.com. How we handle your email address is in our Privacy page.
The directory and featured listings
Every Gilbert business we can verify is listed free. A business can claim its listing and buy a featured slot ($29 a month, three slots per category, cancel any time). Featured listings are billed monthly in advance at $29 a month and renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by writing to info@gilbertfirst.com; the listing then runs to the end of the month you have paid for. Payments for the current month are not refunded. We may decline or remove a listing, an offer or a sponsored placement that is misleading, unlawful or not about a business in or near Gilbert.
What you send us
When you submit an event, claim a listing or send a correction, you confirm the information is accurate and that you may share it, and you let us publish, edit and shorten it on Gilbert First and our social channels. We may decline any submission.
The app for ChatGPT and Claude
The Gilbert First app gives ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants read-only access to the same information as the site: openings, events, best-of lists, Town Council items and directory details. It needs no account, takes search words, dates and category names, and stores nothing. The assistant writes the final answer and may shorten, combine or add to what our app returns. We are responsible only for the data our app returns, not for what an assistant adds from other sources. The assistant's own terms apply to your use of it. More: Gilbert First for AI assistants.
Use of our content
You are welcome to share our links and quote short parts with credit to Gilbert First and a link. Please do not copy whole pages or lists, and do not use automated tools in a way that overloads the site or the app. Public records belong to the public; Google ratings belong to Google.
Links to other sites
We link to businesses, the Town, the County, event pages and other sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
No warranty
Gilbert First is provided "as is". We do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors, or that the site or the app will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using or relying on Gilbert First. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
Corrections
If something we published is wrong, write to info@gilbertfirst.com. We fix it on the page and in the next issue.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
